Lost in transition

Leaves falling,
Water flowing,
The waves are calm.
Wind blowing,
People glowing,
But, yet all I feel is pain
My heart is empty
My soul is missing
Don't know where I'm headed
Got lost in this life
A double life I've been living

I smile at the world
I lost who I once was
I'm lost in an empty body
Lifeless, soulless,
I walk, I breathe, I talk
But, I'm not there

I sit and ponder
The water is flowing
So peaceful
I black out all around me
Digging deep in my soul
I forgive myself
A feeling of purity and freedom comes over me
Seagulls flying above the waves
My soul is free
I found who I once was
I go off into the world
Strong and secure
Not loosing myself !

  1. Your poem has great imagery reading on I notice you keep hope even though you felt you were losing yourself. i like how you use the changing of the season as metaphor. Keep up the good work
